Founded 1982 as Obafemi Awolowo University, Ado-Ekiti. 1985, renamed Ondo State Universty, Ado-Ekiti. 1996, when Ekiti State created from the former Ondo State, the two States jointly owned the University until December 1999. 2002, relocated to Akungba-Akoko and was renamed Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.

Requirements
  • Admission details: Universities Matriculation Examination. Secondary School Certificate of Education (SSCE), NECO, GCE 'O' Level, or equivalent with credits in 5 relevant subjects including English, obtained at no more than 2 sittings. For Master's Degree, in addition to the basic requirements, applicants must hold either a Postgraduate Diploma with an overall minimum average score of 60%, or a First or Second Class Division obtained from University recognized by Senate. For Ph.D. Degree Programmes: a minimum of aggregate grade of 60% (B) or a GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4-point scale at Master's or equivalent obtained from University recognized by Senate.
